That rainbow that has followed them through the playoffs cannot possibly last forever, can it? Roy MusitelliI am especially appreciative to Kyle Cordia... a Cardinal fan with some class... as well as the others who supported my earlier sentiments. I've always pulled for the AL in the past since all the other NL teams usually beat us up during the season. But now I feel different. (However I still like the A's too ;))
I'm rather subdued in my celebrations... there was a little fist clinching when they made the final out. I tend to get a little annoyed with all the 'Johnny-come-latelys' who yell the loudest... but are nowhere to be seen when the team isn't playing so well. For that reason alone I enjoy watching games at home. Saying that however... I'm quite proud of my boys. The best players don't always win... but the best teams usually prevail. That pretty much sums up how the World Series unfolded.
For me it's emotional because none of my immediate family lived to see this day... as was the championship in 2010. But this one confirms that the first was no fluke
